Other Historical Fiction I've Liked
These are some other historical novels I've read and especially enjoyed. (For books dealing with Edward II, see here.) It's not an exhaustive list of novels for the people/periods in question; it reflects my own tastes, which among other things are Anglocentric, favor novels featuring real historical figures, and avoid novels with elements of fantasy and mysticism. (Each to his own, as the old lady said when she kissed the cow.) I started reading historical fiction heavily rather late in life, so I expect this list will keep growing steadily.
